Symbiotics | A New Generation of Hydropower

Fall Creek Dam is located on Fall Creek, a tributary of the Middle Fork Willamette River just northeast of the community of Lowell in Lane County, Oregon.  The dam was completed in 1966 by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and currently provides flood control, irrigation, recreation opportunities and improved downstream navigation.

In cooperation with the Emerald People’s Utility District, Symbiotics began state and federal licensing for a run-of-river hydroelectric project on Fall Creek Dam in 2007.  The proposed hydropower project will have an installed capacity of 6.4 MW from three turbine/generator units.
